I looked up at the birds of the night
Whispered a wish of love as they stared
Painted my dreams all wrong in the sky
Said, "I'd love to fly but I'm scared."
The wise old owls swoop down, curious
So I told them how beautiful my love would be
How I'd find him with Fate's magnifying glass
And how he will have eyes for none but me
And the owls keep asking
the question I'd like to know the answer to:
"Who? Who? Who?"
And I cry; the tears spell out a name that time buried.
The owls keep asking "Who?"
Would they glare down at me
With those streetlamp eyes if they knew?
It was...
"Love is for the birds and bees!" I screamed
Wanting the secret they will never share
Refusing the silent protest of my skin
I walked into the water, unaware
Neck deep; heavy heart be my anchor
Too light-headed to ever drown
Echo, echo, cruel voice of perfection
And tired wings pull me back to the ground
And the owls keep asking
the question I'd like to know the answer to:
"Who? Who? Who?"
And I cry; the tears spell out a name that time buried.
The owls keep asking "Who?"
Would they turn their heads
and fly far from me if they knew?
It was always
You

Description:
I'm thinking this is goodbye.
This is the first time in many weeks that I've been back here.
Gaia isn't the same fun it used to be and, to be honest, I have a lot more things to concentrate on.
So here's something sickeningly sentimental to wave me off :/

PANIC! Don't go.
I'm not on here much either!
I went on the link but I don't really know that site. I got confused.
Anyway about the poem.
Too be honest. I love it. Like all your other work... it's just breathtaking. The imagery, the style, the words. And I'm in love all over again smile - Report As Spam
