    There’s No Where To Go

    A Numbing Song by R. J. Spring

I am floating in a room
That is also floating in space.
Inside is dark all around me,
    And epic odyssey booms.

But as I see the things around me
    Shooting by simultaneously
I soon come to realize there is no wind
And there is nothing around to BE.

C.) And the room rushes by
    Things that aren’t even there.
The junk in the Universe may thin,
And though it emits, I cannot hear me cry.

    My home is far behind,
My hometown has been blown away.
My room came shooting out from Earth,
But there is no one else here to find.

There is no place to slow
    And my clocks have vanished.
    I am shooting forward, forward,
    Into that dull glow.

C.) And the room rushes by
    Things that aren’t even there.
The junk in the Universe may thin,
    And though it emits,
    I cannot hear me cry.

I am taken out from within
    As my makeshift capsule implodes.
I am pulled into a nothing that lies ahead,
I wanna sleep, sleep and die,
No matter what I do, I cannot win.

My eyes now can’t see to stare,
    My hands can’t feel,
    Now I can’t move.
I am forever going no where.

C.) And the room rushes by
    Things that aren’t even there.
The junk in the Universe may thin,
    And though it emits,
    I cannot hear me cry.

Cause I’m forever going no where.

    The End.
