but you had to go to war
now i fear for your life
as you go into battle
i pray and i cry that you will come home
but that only gets you so far
so i send this note of my love
and hope it gives you courage
to keep going and remember your little girl at home
shes on her way but misses you already
shes never met you but she will for you will come home
she is ur gift from you to us
so stay safe come home after all is done
for if you don't my heart will shatter and i shall never love again
you will be the only one for me
i miss you terribly......
