• As I stand to stare out this window I wonder
    Freedom must be nice
As I watch the birds fly by in flocks I wonder
    What is family?
What is anything that we think we know?
    No one knows

As the window teases me of the freedom I don’t have
    I scream
We were granted freedom in life
And here we, the young, are trapped in others control
    Trapped like wild animals
    That is not freedom
The teasing will stop. I will make my freedom come
    What is freedom?

    Some of us
    Clones
Making the same mistakes the generation before us did
    Some
    The rare
Break free and go independence, becoming a outcast
    That is not family
That is a crowd of clones wanting to be the same
    What is family?

    Anything
It is a very strong word
It could mean the mountains or the rivers
But to us it is everything we know
But do we truly know what we think we know
Or is it all instinct while we know nothing?
    What is knowledge?

Freedom is the choice of your own being
Choosing, outlining, building your own path that you walk
    Becoming your own independent person.
    Family.
Friends have become close enough to spill out secrets too.
To trust your life in their hands
Loved ones that will always be there
    Knowledge?
Is an unknown question like life itself
That is all to be said
The shattered window with the glass falling
I have broken your spirit to tease and taunt me while I am trapped
So what will happen when I run into another of you?
I will have to break the chain
