Slow down, caution.
I won't be taking this curve faster than I can handlle it, I tell myself.
Then, as always, throwing up my hands and I take things so much faster than I should.
An addict's mentality, a little risk never killed me.
When caution holds me captive in the dark, I'll wish for the days where we were free.
Because they weren't few, nor far between.
But that kind of freedom isn't the right light.
If it's not love, then captivity is worth it.
One day, I'll stop needing resistance,
I'll stop wanting to fight so hard,
I'll love recklessly, and irrevocably,
Right now though,
I need to make sure that I don't move forward so fast that I miss the best parts.
And that I'm not the only one that catches the meaning in it all.
Hold on a minute,
And remember.
You're holding my hand,
and not my heart quite yet.
