• It's casting shadows of grey,
among the lilies as I make my way.
The only sound I hear is the thudding of my heart,
the pain telling me that we're too far apart.
    But I won't give up
    won't give in,
until I see your silly little grin,
    and your eyes,
the ones that made me realize,
    I loved you.

    I hope I'm not late,
I wish you had a different fate.
Cause I want to save you from the bad guys,
and to let you gaze up,
    upon the skies,
    one more time.

There's a figure standing in my way,
    and if they hurt you,
    their gonna pay.
This lady sure won't stop me,
    just wait and see.
    I take my blade,
    slice her down,
she says nothing as she wears a frown.

"Little prince", she whispers with her dieing breath,
"You can't save her, it's her death."
"Ha!", I laugh, she can't fool me with her lies,
Her eyes widen as she dies.

    I race up the tower,
    to my love's bed,
I knelt down remembering what I had read.
    The kiss,
    the kiss of true love,
    to touch her lips,
    my morning dove.

    I closed my eyes,
    and kissed her,
    My vision began to blur,
    as I told myself I won't cry.

But my love did not wake,
    nor did she ever take,
    one look at me.
And then I thought, with tears rolling down my face,
That I was not her true love,
and she was not my morning dove.
