Cold metal pressed against the flesh
So sensitive, so gentle, the stars kissed my head
Push up the protector of my fragile mind
“Dear Umbrella, will you be mine?”
The night’s precious, precocious, nightlight
From the sun as bright to the stem full of spite
“Star, I was alone the entire evening.”
Thrown from the blanket covering us
Were teardrops of silver, gas, and dust particles
All for my corrosive truths dripping with my blissful deceit
