Do you ever stop and think?

• Description: I wrote this poem when I was really angry at my friend for leaving my choir concert before I got to sing. It was ridiculous at first, but it got worse. I tried to keep with my rhyming theme, but as a result some of the lines came out strange. Can any of you realte to this?

this isn't a game?

Do you ever stop and think

maybe I'm not the same?

Do you ever stop and think

perhaps I have a different aim ?

Do you ever stop to really think?


Do you ever stop and think

about how much I really care?

Or how much I can bear?

Do you ever stop and think

that my fragile heart would tear

when I see you arent even there

Do you ever stop to really think?


Maybe you think I'm being dumb

or maybe just ruining all your fun

but it is very important to me

so why can't you just see?


I just want you to be there for me

like I was there for you

so please just stop and think

if not me then who?
