A sudden precursor; a wandering soul without eyes.
I am falling in and out of our world.
I glide down the hallways with my head held high.
I won’t let them see behind my lie, behind my pretty white smile.
His name leaves her mouth and I have no choice but to smile.
I have no choice but to look dignified.
He stood away from me, at a far distance, he seemed so cold.
I reached out to touch him, but it all faded away.
All dreams fade to dust; on a starry night I’ll be sure to come out and play.
I’ll be sure to know you’re going away.
She’s staring at me and I’m staring back while mouthing the words:
“You’re dead, kid.”
She shakes her head and a gentle smile curves into her visage.
“Silly, silly.” She says to me.
My thoughts are tangled and my heart is racing.
“Hearts are made for breaking.” She held out her hand and beside her was him.
I took one final breath and tried to reach out again.
I’m screaming and crying and calling out loud.
Don’t worry; I’ll see to it that you’re gone.
I’ll make sure you burn with such grace.
You’ll enjoy being burned alive, I promise, I promise.
Just smile and you might make it out alive.
Just tell him you love him and you might be able to survive.
I take these shapes and mold them well.
I take these bodies and mold them well.
We are all liars and we are greedy.
Let me lead you to your unsuspecting death.
I’ll break you, I’ll kill you.
You will have never seen it coming.
My hands resting lightly at your throat and I hope you choke.
I grip and you gasp.
Gasp for air, tears fill your open eyes.
The air in your lungs seems to die.
I’ll send my love out for you in the darkest hour.
I promise that I’ll come visit your grave.
I promise you that I’ll love again.
I’ll love again without you; I’ll love you, my precursor.
