As I walked though the door
That cold, cold morning
I felt my best friend fall into step beside me
For the last time...
I heard the breaks screech
And saw in horror
My best friend be rushed to hospital
As pale as ever
lying on the hospital bed
Her eyes flickered open
for the last time...
"dont leave me!" i said as tears ran down my face
She squeezed my hand
for the last time...
She stopped breathing
Her heart stopped beating
Her hand fell away from mine
That second, that minute, that day
She's gone forever
and she's left me behind
crying
