You never saw it coming
With such unexpected turns
The pages are bleeding with every single word
The book is tattered; it’s been left out in the sun
Just like the book, Your Life is exposed
The sunlight will fade every page the wind blows
The book is your heart, your mind, your soul
That’s why it’s so distroyed; so lost and alone
There is no magic, yet nothing else can explain
The condition this book is in
Even though the book is disolving, every word still holds its power
You try to look away and end up reading it for hours
The memories come back to you
It hurts- you try to toss the book aside
But you know that if you toss your heart you could only hope to die
Now your eyes are at the mercy of the book’s acursed ways
In hopes of a relief, you try to turn the page
The pages stick together- those with happiness and bliss
And you desperately wonder how to free yourself from it
This is your life
Now, time to turn the book in!

- Title: Your Life
- Artist: Gwynky
- Description: This poem has alot of imagery in it; the book it meantions can be pictured as real (if you have alot of imagination- that is) or metaphorically- as I originally wrote it. The last verse coincides with another, more personal poem I wrote; one of the lines in that poem says "you turn in Your Life to the teacher, but they don't know it"...other than that, the last line is just meant to give dramatic effect. :) The rest is pretty much spelled-out. Hope you like it!
