• The pain
    It burns
    With a freezing intensity

    During the day
    I wear a mask
    Of fake happiness
    I smile and laugh
    And everything seems normal
    I study, I work, and I play
    All throughout the day
    And no one suspects a thing

    But at night…
    Oh…at night…
    I show my feelings
    My true self
    The mask is gone
    And the pain shows
    I cry, and I hide
    And try and heal the pain
    But nothing I do
    Will stop the flow
    And the tears slide down my cheeks
