the sun is rising and a light of hope fills the valley
animals are joyful at the suns return
painting joy felt colers across the cloud less sky
but the animals freeze
a loud echo resounds threw the vally
even the river seems to have gone silent
I don't love you
the words echo this time with more strenght
they carry with them clouds of despair
The animals all seek shelter as the wind picks up
it starts to rain pounding down on the earth like never before
so strong that even the might lion seeks refuge unable to release his fury
the thunder comes in loud broken beats
the wind cries out to the skys
the river over flows with emotion
the animals just wait
wait for the sun to come
but it doesn't
the love
the warmth
is lost for ever in the dark gloom of the clouds
the rain recedes to a light drizzle
wind calms to an apathetic breeze
cold so cold
the light drizzle is now snow
snow that blankets the valley in cold
cold, so cold
where is the love
where is the warmth
so cold
the river slows and starts to freeze
the once majestic sight gone
cold
the river has stopped
the emotions stop coming
the animals all begin leaving
the once lively valley is now dismal, empty, lonely
this is the first and last winter

- I in fact quite enjoy this poem! I love the imagery and the fact that this poem is different from the other heartbreak poetry out there. I give it a thumbs up biggrin
