They told me it was easy
The road home was familiar
But I fear I’ve lost my way
And the flickering streetlight won’t be enough
Operator, stop the ride
I can still walk by myself
To the warm embrace that beckons
The prodigal son was only a dream
Avoiding the truth is too easy
So you’ll overlook these faults and light a candle
And if I’m smart I’ll leave this place
A storm is brewing in the distance
Accept my apology if I make it in time
I love you
Goodnight.

- Title: Candle in the Night
- Artist: Khristallyn
- Description: I honestly have no clue where this poem came from and what it means. It's possible that it was something that I repressed from a darker time, but now in my life it is simply an anachronism. If you figure out what it means, please let me know.

- Seems to me like it means you have a problem, but you want to sort it out on your own, no help needed. Would you mind checking out some of my stuff too? =]

Ja, but that doesn't help much whenever the author doesn't know what she meant by it ^^;;
I'll figure it out eventually. - Report As Spam

- Only the author can ever truly know what a poem means, because it can be interpreted so differently by each person.
