Spirit Song
Gone forever,
Is what they say,
You will never come back,
They claim.
They do not believe me,
When I say I saw you,
They give me strange looks,
And say spirits do not exist,
That such thoughts are evil.
But I know they are wrong,
I know what I have seen,
I know what I have heard,
I know what I believe,
I know you are out there,
I know you are watching,
And protecting me.

Oh, I agree with you on the matterof Bible thumpers. They bug me to. I don't think God ever wanted people to stuff religion down their throat. Because. . I dont believe in that "mean, judging" God. He's a father to the fatherless, loves unconditionally, and heals.
Good spirits? Hmm.. There are many good spirits. Too many to name though.
As far as the question as to why God is referred to as He, I do not know. But I do know he is a father to the fatherless, like myself. - Report As Spam

- Stuff like that. Also what is with everything being centered around men? Who says "God" is a he?

- Yes, but does the bible ever speak of good spirits? All the stuff I've seen says that spirits are evil and bad. Religion and beliefs are two different things. Just because you believe in something doesn't mean its your religion. I think if there really is a God that he wouldn't want people pressing the belief in him on others. Lots of churches try pushing their religion on others saying stuff like "This is what you have to believe in. If you don't believe in this you are damned to hell."

- Oh, I understand now. But actually, saying that Christians do not believe in spirits is incorrect. The Bible speaks quite often of evil spirits and demons being very real. Unfortunately, the church has become seperated into groups of belief. My "group" does believe in angels, demons, spirits, witches, worlocks, and many other thin

- As the definition says this poem is not about religion. I do not have a religion. For one Christians do not believe in spirits. I have actually been insulted by a Christian and told that if there is such thing as spirits they are all evil. There is actually three good spirits in my house. Two from the Pony Express era and one who I believe to be the man who my other poem, Forever My Guardian Angel, is about. My brothers, my mom, and sort of my dad have all seen them.
