Imaginary, Goals and Obstacles
Fire falls from freezing eyes
Empty evil losing breath
Lost to beauty, turning blind
He never saw approaching death
Lack of sight and all direction
Wandering in vacant thoughts
Tiny choices take inflection
And change the future wrought
And yet how easily ignored
Is a problem not understood?
He took the life meant to soar
And killed it as only he could
Crushed his soul with ambition
And his great will with shame
Born through fruitless intention
Too tired to play the game
His concern was not with rules
But with an imaginary prize
Sparkling like the gold of fools
Shining only in his blind eyes

Description:
I just wrote this...right here...because I felt like it...and it was very fun...
Anyway, it's pretty much about some man who doesn't understand what he really wants and is hurting himself trying to fulfill a pretend need.

- The rhyme scheme seems very natural, and the imagrey is wonderful. ^_^
