Oh little blue bird,
come and you'll see.
Please little blue bird,
come and rescue me.
I sit here in your cage,
go and fetch the key.
I sit here all alone,
that caged bird is thee.
Oh little blue bird,
listen to my cry.
Please little blue bird,
release me so I may fly.
I sit here in your cage,
I don't sing for am shy.
I sit here all alone,
to fade away then die.
Oh little blue bird,
listen to my plea.
Please little blue bird,
I wish to perch upon a tree.
I sit here in your cage,
when someone rescued me.
I no longer sit here all alone,
for now I fly free.
I'm no longer the caged bird
that calls out for thee.
