• If anyone could save me, it was he. He was tall and handsom, stronge and polite. He was loving and caring, brave but not fearless. His senses were acute, his soul long ago saved. His eyes were welcoming and bright with kindness and intellegence while his deep voice held a wisdom only gained by experience. His hands were strong and gentle. He was a magnificant fighter with skills sharpened by years of practice. He was the closest thing to perfect one could get. The only problem was...he was dead.

    there was no reason to run, no reason to hide. It wouldn't have mattered anyway there was nothing we could do. We sat, whole bodies aching, lungs screaming out with every frozen breath. The chilly air stung our skin as the wet grass wet our clothes. We had been running for hours before we found out, before things had changed. Now we had no hope. We had thought long and hard about it, all deciding that there was no longer a reason to keep on fighting. So we gave up. It was hard. All those years we spent living in fear, sufering, trauma, all was for nothing. The despair we felt now, sitting beneath trees so green it was unreal, was like nothing any of us had ever experienced. But no one had the fight left in them.

    So when they advanced upon is, eyes ablazing, nostrals flaming, hearts filled with hatredred, we did not resist. We all felt the pain, unbearable, as it shot up our limbs. We all saw the darkness, we all saw the light. Not one of us was left behind, the facesof the evil disapearimg from all of our eyes. And all of us were finally releived.
